Poet Maurice Manning & Novelist Melanie Sumner to Lead Reading & Master Class

On Friday, Nov. 20, Reinhardt College will host two very special writers:

Maurice Manning, a poet who was awarded the prestigious Yale Younger Poets Award. He is also the nephew of Reinhardt's president's wife, Bettye Jo Isherwood.

Melanie Sumner, a novelist in the Southern Literature genre whose novel The School of Beauty and Charm got rave reviews.

Maurice and Melanie will read in the Bannister Glasshouse on Nov. 20 from noon to 1 p.m. and then teach a master class on poetry and fiction writing from 1 to 4 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.
