Liberal Studies
The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Liberal Studies is designed for students who love all the humanities and want to be able to study English, history, religion, sociology, art history, communication arts, and political science.
Flexible and thought-provoking
You will select five courses to fulfill one primary discipline:
- English,
- history
- religion
and three courses in each of two secondary areas:
- English,
- history,
- religion,
- sociology,
- art history,
- communication arts
- political science.
Interdisciplinary Approach
To foster appreciation for other cultures and a passionate involvement in society, you will also take interdisciplinary classes (LST 301)--with general themes like:
- nature and culture,
- conformity and rebellion,
- poverty and wealth,
- or hope and despair.
Thesis or Internship helps gain work experience
You can also choose to complete a senior thesis or internship and gain additional work experience. Reinhardt liberal studies majors have worked as interns in museums, publishing houses, accounting firms, and even for the Atlanta Braves!
Liberal Studies also offers a minor for students who have chosen a different major.
