Alexa Huston

Alexa Huston is from Jasper, Ga. She will graduate in May 2011 with a Bachelor in Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Alexa has been a very involved student at Reinhardt. She has been involved in the Honors Program, named 2010 Miss Reinhardt, received the 2010 and 2011 McCamish School of Business Leadership Award, named to Deans List, and inducted into Sigma Beta Delta and Alpha Chi honor societies.

Alexa works in the McCamish School of Business as a work study student. She is assists faculty with research, prepares communications, develops and presents recruiting programs to future students and parents, assists with coordinating a conference, and other various responsibilities.

Alexa is also the communications director for the Students in Free Enterprise, SIFE. She was part of the 2010 SIFE competition team that placed first in their region. She will be competing again in April 2011. Alexa has served as project manager for the 2011 Financial Literacy Project and has participated in all of the many community outreach activities for the past two years with SIFE.

Alexa recently completed an internship for Cherokee County. She conducted research on the tax and fee structures of Metro Atlanta counties. She also assisted with the Cherokee Conference Center’s booth at the Cherokee Bridal Expo.

Alexa says that her experiences at Reinhardt “have given me a lot of hands-on experience that I will need to be successful in my future career. I have not only learned the theories of business practices, but Reinhardt has also given me the opportunity to put these theories into practice with hands-on projects.”
