The Screamin’ Eagle marching band and color guard made a grand appearance after a hiatus of several years. The group performed at the first Reinhardt home football game of the season on Saturday, September 21st. The musicians and flag corps delighted and inspired the crowd from the stands and on the field.

At half-time, over 50 Screamin’ Eagles performed their show, “The Music of Queen.”  Hits like We Will Rock You, We Are the Champions, Bohemian Rhapsody, and others from the British rock band got the crowd on their feet.

Dr. Kerry Bryant, Director of Instrumental Activities, explained, “Under the expert guidance of Assistant Director of Bands Dennis Naughton, the RU students that comprise this re-born band have been working diligently to put together a collegiate-level marching band that is both musically top-notch and wildly entertaining!”

“I believe this group will bring a new level of spirit to our football games and basketball games,” Naughton proclaimed. “The members have dedicated their time to making this a great organization. It will do a great job representing Reinhardt and the Waleska community at every home game.”

If you missed out, mark your calendar for the next home game on Saturday, October 12th at Noon.
