Bearing a striking resemblance to John Denver, and referred to by one published source as having an “uncanny physical and vocal resemblance to Denver,” Ted Vigil will present his musical tribute to Denver at the Falany Performing Arts Center on Nov. 8 at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
A singer, songwriter and tribute artist, Vigil is known as the country’s best John Denver tribute performer. His spot-on vocal resemblance, as well as his uncanny likeness, often leaves audience members commenting, “I can’t believe how much he looks and sounds like John! It really takes me back.”
Denver’s career as a singer-songwriter, actor, activist, humanitarian and – as he was best known – solo performer, was cut short in 1997 when he was killed in a crash in an aircraft he was piloting. His music earned him 12 gold and four platinum albums with his signature songs “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” “Annie’s Song,” Thank God, I’m a Country Boy,” Sunshine on My Shoulders,” “Calypso” and “Rocky Mountain High.”
“This performance will be an incredible chance to relive John Denver’s best hits,” said Jessica Akers, director of the Falany Performing Arts Center. “We are really excited for this performance.”
