While a Reinhardt student, Daniel Trotter ‘07 learned many valuable lessons, but none more valuable than the value of building relationships. And after nearly a decade of experience with Chick-fil-A, both in Canton and then in a corporate role, Trotter accepted a new challenge and, since 2009, has operated a Chick-fil-A restaurant in Arizona.
Trotter studied business administration and took advantage of student involvement as a baseball player, resident assistant, Reinhardt Admissions Captain, Student Government Association member and Public Safety student worker. Those opportunities, he said, helped him become a well-rounded individual and successful entrepreneur.
Since graduation, Trotter has thrived on the west coast, but appreciated Reinhardt’s location while a student, still returning to campus from time-to-time when he’s in North Georgia to visit family.
“I chose Reinhardt for a few different reasons,” said Trotter. “I really liked the small class sizes, as well as the proximity to home and work.”
Trotter said the environment at Reinhardt aided his success in the business world, providing him the ability to relate with team members, customers and his community.
“The environment at Reinhardt was conducive to helping me flourish relationally. I was able to have conversations with professors and other students on an intimate level and learn and grow from them.”
Before moving to Scottsdale, Arizona, Trotter said he “met the woman of my dreams and got married in January of 2009.” Trotter and his wife, Morgan, have two daughters, Olivia and Aubrey.
