Business students and faculty, from Reinhardt University visited Komatsu America Corporation in Cartersville to give students an up-close and personal experience with the innovation and everyday procedure done by workers.
“The whole experience was eye-opening for me and sparked a genuine interest in pursuing career options outside of what I had previously imagined,” said Luke Williams, vice president of administration for Reinhardt’s Student Government Association.
The trip was led by the Dean of McCamish School of Business, Dr. Katherine Hyatt, who recruited 11 students to participate. The goal of the trip was to teach the students and give them the ability to network with Komatsu team members and receive an overview of the company, as well as discuss internship and career opportunities.
Komatsu America specializes in heavy machinery, such as excavation and mining.
“Needless to say, I was impressed,” said Williams. “I had no idea how innovative and competitive Komatsu is.”
