As tradition stands, classes will be canceled for Reinhardt University’s annual Spring Day event on April 4 so students can have fun with friends and rejuvenate before the last few weeks of classes and final exams.
Traditionally, Spring Day is simply a day of fun, but this year’s day off from classes will start with a high-fidelity trauma simulation at University Theater. Kicking off Donate Life Month, the “Trauma Drama” will show the action behind a medical trauma situation and the importance of organ donation. From 10 a.m. to noon, April 4, the Cauble School of Nursing & Health Sciences will partner with other schools on campus to present this drama to students, faculty, staff and the public.
Spring Day will continue in Donor Plaza with “Field Day” as a way to inspire nostalgia. Beginning at 11 a.m., students, faculty and staff can expect inflatables, a Ninja Tower, Slip ‘n Slide, Zip Lining and Wipeout Balls, along with DJ Quincy providing music for the afternoon. Come out to see Reinhardt’s student clubs and organizations host a variety of games and activities for all to enjoy. The Student Government Association also will announce the 2019-2020 Executive Board during the festivities.
“During all my time a Reinhardt, Spring day has always been a day I look forward to,” said Noelle Adams. “This year getting to plan it with Student Activities Council, I have been able to experience the fun in whole new ways. You definitely won’t want to miss out on the fun!”
A picnic style lunch will be served by Gordy Dining on Hasty Plaza. This Reinhardt community event is free and open to the public.
