Reinhardt University’s efforts to create an effective online learning space have been recognized by College Consensus, who named Reinhardt University the No. 1 Online College in the state of Georgia.
Online colleges considered for this ranking offer a minimum of three fully online bachelor’s programs and were judged on a score that combines published rankings and student reviews from the internet.
“Our online degree programs allow working professionals who are not able to come to an in-person class to receive the same education 100 percent online,” said Executive Vice President and Provost Mark Roberts. “Reinhardt is always responding to the needs of the community and answering the call for working professionals who want to further their education.”
Reinhardt introduced online degree programs several years ago with the goal of providing the same quality education students received on campus on a traditional track to those in need of flexibility in the learning process.
A variety of degrees are offered through Reinhardt’s online programs, including the online Associate of Business Administration, Associate of Criminal Justice, Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Criminal Justice, Bachelor of Healthcare Administration and RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing. In Fall 2019, Reinhardt introduced the Master of Science in Sport Administration and Leadership, the first 100 percent online sport-based master’s degree program at a private institution in Georgia.
Programs like these are what makes it possible for working professionals like Jordan Hunter ‘17 to further his career goals while balancing work and family. Hunter, who works as a welder and college instructor, found the traditional college pathway didn’t work for him while balancing work and being a father, yet he still wanted to earn his Bachelor of Business Administration.
“I would have never obtained my bachelor’s degree if it wasn’t for the online program Reinhardt created,” said Hunter. “It made a pathway for my success.”
Hannah Hise ‘14 was able to work full time while earning a Bachelor of Healthcare Administration, her second degree from Reinhardt University.
“The convenience of the online classes makes it possible for me to go to school while working at my full-time job,” said Hise. “The professors were knowledgeable in the curriculum they were teaching me. My professors were friendly, professional and really cared about my education.”
