In light of social distancing practices now in place to slow the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, Reinhardt University will postpone the Spring Commencement Ceremony.
“We do not know what the immediate future holds as the effects of COVID-19 on our county, the state and the world change daily,” said Dr. Mark Roberts, acting president, provost and executive vice president. “Our seniors have worked diligently for their degrees — late night study sessions, dedication to class, Capstone projects, internships, clinicals and research projects. Celebrating the Class of 2020 is extremely important to us. We have chosen to delay the Spring 2020 Commencement Ceremony in lieu of canceling it.”
The upcoming Commencement ceremony, originally scheduled for May 1, will now take place in December to honor and celebrate the graduating Class of 2020.
The Spring 2020 graduating class will walk across the stage Thursday, Dec. 10 at 9 a.m. with their classmates. The Fall Class of 2020, which includes those who complete their degree requirements in Summer 2020, will participate in their Commencement Ceremony Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. Both ceremonies will be held in Brown Athletic Center. A Baccalaureate Service will be held Sunday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. at a location to be announced.
Students should ensure they have filed their application for graduation with the Registrar’s Office. Visit Reinhardt.edu/graduation for more information.
