Reinhardt University will continue to educate students on leadership skills through RU Leads sessions, continuing the series in an online format this semester.
RU Leads serves to compliment classroom learning by developing soft skills and leadership competencies, providing Reinhardt students a well-rounded education as they step out into their careers after graduation.
“At Reinhardt, we believe that soft skills training has a positive impact on workplace outcomes for our graduates, such as recruitment, retention, productivity and job satisfaction. Developing our students’ soft skills build their leadership capacity in a sustainable way,” said Dr. Walter May, dean of students.
The RU Leads program demonstrates Reinhardt’s holistic approach to education with a focus on all aspects of the student to prepare them for their future success in the workplace
The first session took place late September, where Dr. Kerry Bryant, director of instrumental activities, led a discussion on the “Values and Virtues of Leaders.” The next session is Oct. 12 with communications Adjunct Instructor Julia Silka, who will present on “The Art of Facilitation.” The last session of the Fall 2020 – “Ethical Decision-Making” – will take place in November and will be led by Dr. Dana Hall, dean of graduate studies and special academic programs.”

RU Leads carries out the goals of the Quality Enhancement Program, “Where in the World RU Going?,” which highlights High Impact Practices through internships, study abroad, service learning and research opportunities to give students real-world experience, strengthen their understanding of the world and provide them a good foundation for success.
