Valentine’s week holds special meaning for two Reinhardt alumni. Hannah Aschmann (RU2009) and Andy Hise (RU2009) celebrated their wedding anniversary on February 12th, 13 years after getting married on campus.
The two met as undergraduates during a costume contest at a Halloween dance. In 2011, the couple returned to get married in Hagan Chapel, saying it was the obvious choice to wed at Reinhardt.
Fifteen years after graduating, the couple still meets regularly with the friends they made at Reinhardt. Andy says these lifelong friends, meeting Hannah, and the value of the education received are their favorite memories.
Andy majored in Business Management and is now the director of finance at an advertising agency. Hannah received degrees from Reinhardt in Music Performance and Healthcare Administration. She worked for many years at Northside Hospital and has now transitioned to being a stay-at-home mom for their three-year-old son.
During this week of romance, Andy reflected, “Hannah is the sweetest person I’ve ever met. She is selfless and always makes sure that her family is taken care of and feels loved.” Hannah described her sentiments saying, “Andy is dedicated to his family and his career. He is the kindest and most caring person I know. And he makes me laugh on a daily basis.”
