Reinhardt University’s Price School of Education (PSOE) welcomed its newest students with an induction ceremony and reception on October 7th. Trea Blalock (RU-2027), Courtney Foster (RU-2026), Harrison Fuss (RU-2026), Mack Jefferson (RU-2025), Sam Kopeski (RU-2025), Hayden Laney (RU-2026) Jenna Megenity (RU-2027), and Cristina Scoretz (RU-2027) met PSOE requirements to become accepted into the program. They have completed their prerequisite courses, background checks, applications for their Georgia Professional Standards Commission pre-service certificates, and requisite biographies about their purpose to become teachers.

During the induction ceremony, each student received a PSOE pin as a memento. PSOE faculty delivered messages of inspiration. Director of Teacher Education Tami Smith told the students, “Never forget that you’re in the classroom to inspire, to build a community amongst your school and your class, and to be there for students, parents, and families. Remember why you’re there. It gives us pleasure when you go out and make your difference.”

The group of future educators looks forward to this next level of their educational journey which includes student teaching.
