The Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science provides students with an understanding of government and politics through a combination of theoretical and empirical analysis and practical experience. The program develops critical thinking, analysis, and communication skills through a combination of classroom experience and internship opportunities designed to instill students with firsthand experience and practical understanding of governmental policy and practice.

A degree in Political Science prepares students for graduate or law school, for jobs in the private sector or in the public sector as laws and regulations govern most every business and employment sector.

Graduates most commonly attend law school or graduate school, work for a private sector business in governmental relations, or for a non-profit group that lobbies the government, or for government agencies, or work for elected officials or state or federal government agencies.
