The heartwarming spirit of Christmas wouldn’t be complete without charitable giving. The Reinhardt University community supports the R. M. Moore Elementary School’s Giving Tree program every year with the Angel Tree project. Faculty, staff, and students donate gifts and brighten the season for families and children in the local community, as part of the Cherokee County Chamber’s Partner in Education program.

The 2023 Angel Tree, teemed with wrapped presents and holiday spirit, represented by gifts collected for thirty-five R. M. Moore students and their families. This outpouring of kindness supplied every item requested.

“We greatly appreciate the partnership we have with Reinhardt University. This means a lot to us, especially our kids who may not have a Christmas without you, so thank you,” said R. M. Moore Assistant Principal Dr. Leah Bleisath.

Reinhardt President Dr. Mark A. Roberts is also grateful for this partnership, “Reinhardt has traditionally had a relationship with R. M. Moore Elementary School. It is one of the ways our learning community gives back to those in need, particularly children. Even extending beyond the Angel Tree program our athletic teams and many of our student groups volunteer at R.M. Moore, and many of our Price School of Education graduates teach there. The relationship is very strong, so we are very glad to support the students and their families.”
