The Reinhardt University Alumni Board of Governors (ABOG) held its first meeting of the academic year and welcomed new members Dr. Ted Grosch (RU-2024), Hayden Holcomb (RU-2016 & 2020), Chris Pierce (RU-2001), Ian Schumacher (RU-2019 & 2021), Adriana Talkington (RU-2022 & 2024), Scott Wiley (RU-2023), and Amy Williams (RU-2018).

ABOG serves as a bridge between alumni and the University as advocates and advisors. ABOG seeks to enhance the overall alumni experience, foster lifelong connections, and support the University’s growth and success.

The 2024-2025 Board enthusiastically looks forward to representing the interests of Reinhardt alumni, upholding the University’s mission, and promoting engagement among graduates. This year ABOG focuses on engagement and recognition of alumni.

ABOG President Luke Williams (RU-2018) recently said, “I have never been more excited about the Alumni Board’s future than I am now. The Alumni Board of Governors has seen the most growth since before COVID. We’ve added fantastic community leaders to the mix who are invested in the students and committed to being ambassadors for Reinhardt.”

To support the University’s objective to be a culture of recognition, Williams shares, “ABOG is working alongside the University to recognize Reinhardt alumni and the amazing work they are doing in their communities.” In addition, Williams notes, “The board will hold a strategic planning meeting to develop long-term goals, such as regularly scheduled events and engagement opportunities to provide alumni with plenty of ways to reconnect with other alumni, students, and the University.”

ABOG hopes to inspire all levels of financial support for the University. Williams points out, “Increasing the percentage of alumni that give annually plays a substantial role in the University’s success in receiving grants and other funding. It is also a metric for university rankings that can attract prospective students.”
