Lehigh Carbon Community College

Reinhardt University’s Cauble School of Nursing & Health Sciences began offering nursing classes in the spring of 2018. Since then, 56 students have completed the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program, and 77 students are currently enrolled. On Sept. 13, the school celebrated its eighth cohort of nursing students – the largest cohort to date.

In a time when nurses are in more demand than ever and have more demands of them, Reinhardt is proud to welcome so many students who are called to this work.

President Mark A. Roberts, Ph.D., welcomed everyone to the ceremony and celebrated the nursing program’s success.

“I want to take a moment to thank the faculty for the success of our program and for those nurses who have successfully entered into their nursing profession. It takes an entire community to educate a person. Especially when going through one of the most rigorous programs in the United States – nursing,” praised Roberts. “It requires extraordinary discipline from students, motivation from students and requires you – their families – to encourage them when they feel they cannot do it. In those moments when they may call their faculty, family, pastor or community – encourage them. We all go through moments when we feel we can’t go on. We certainly have all felt that way in the last 18 months with the pandemic going on.

But, my motto for this year is we cannot let our circumstances predict our outcomes. If we do that, we banish our goals and dreams to a dark place. We will achieve our dreams together.”

Dr. LeAnne Wilhite, dean and professor of the Cauble School congratulated the incoming nursing students on their decision to enter this important profession and assured them they will achieve their goals through the hard work they will do together.

Congratulations to the newest class of nursing students and welcome to Reinhardt!
