Induction into the Alpha Chi National College Honor Scholarship Society recognizes students’ exceptional academic achievements. On March 23rd, 2025, fourteen students were inducted into Reinhardt’s Georgia Mu Chapter. To qualify for induction, students must be invited by a faculty member, represent the top ten percent of their classes, and display academic excellence and exemplary character.
Alpha Chi is a prestigious cross-disciplinary honor society with over 300 chapters across the United States and Puerto Rico. Its mission is to promote and honor outstanding scholarly achievement and exemplary character among college and university students, while also offering opportunities for continued growth and service.
During the induction ceremony, the new members pledged to uphold the values of Alpha Chi, lit a candle symbolizing the eternal pursuit of knowledge, signed the Society’s constitution, and were presented with pins as a mark of their accomplishment.
Emma Pelfrey (RU-2025) achieved the honor as she nears completion of a double major in Business Management and Biology. She reflected, “Receiving this recognition is an enormous honor. It is a tribute to the perseverance, commitment, and encouragement that have forged my path.” Technical theatre major Rachel Crittenden (RU-2025) echoed the sentiment, “This honor is a reflection of my academic persistence and faith in myself as a student. My professors contributed to my success by encouraging and supporting me. They made classes a joy to participate in.”
For Ivan Patta (RU-2025), who traveled from Italy to attend Reinhardt, the honor was especially meaningful, “Being inducted into the Alpha Chi Honor Society is a validation of the hard work I have put in. With commitment and perseverance, it is possible to achieve important results, no matter where you come from.”
