High above the trees is where Cody Baker ’06 would rather be on any given day. Although he graduated with a Reinhardt degree in business administration 13 years ago, he earned his helicopter pilot license and flies for Air Evac Lifeteam.
In his daily work, Baker pilots a helicopter to provide access for people in need. His typical day can involve landing on an interstate, in someone’s backyard or at a hospital where his passenger can receive medical attention at the closest level one trauma center.
Baker’s feet were planted firmly on the ground during his time at Reinhardt, as he worked toward his Bachelor of Business Administration. He could be found working with Campus Ministries, cheering on the basketball players or playing in the “Real Deal” band. He found relationships he developed at Reinhardt to be lifelong and appreciated the “big family” feel.
One particular relationship that kindled at Reinhardt has blossomed into a 14-year marriage to his wife, Andi. They have two children, and love to travel – they just recently returned from Paris and London.
Baker stated, “We definitely would not be where we are without the love and support of Reinhardt.”
