A wealth of solo musical talent participated in the annual Reinhardt University Instrumental Concerto Competition this week. Since 2009, the competition showcases the amazing students within the ranks of the instrumental department of the Reinhardt University School of Performing Arts.
A panel of distinguished judges chose trumpeter Elizabeth Chesser and trombonist Tristin Baumann as the top two performers. Chesser will be featured in the 2023 fall semester as a soloist with the university’s Wind Ensemble, with Baumann as alternate soloist. Both are Music Education majors.
After applying, all contestants are coached by their Reinhardt Artist Affiliates to prepare for the competition.
Congratulations, Elizabeth and Tristin!
