After 15 years, director of admissions Lacey Satterfield ‘02 remains committed to helping prospective students find a home at Reinhardt University.
A recognized leader by peers and partners, Satterfield has been tapped to share her expertise at the 105th annual meeting of AACRAO, the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, later this spring in Los Angeles.
Jenzabar – Reinhardt’s student information systems partner – has recruited Satterfield to lead a conference session on how Reinhardt has implemented their systems, more specifically their customer relationship management technology platform, in support of recruiting students.
“I believe that we should let the technology do the work that it can do so that we can do the work – building meaningful relationships with people – that the technology can’t do,” said Satterfield.
In addition to the AACRAO conference, Satterfield and associate director of admissions, Christopher Bryan, will present for a second consecutive year at the Jenzabar annual conference in San Diego, reviving their discussion from last year on “enhancing communication to prospective students.”
Meet Satterfield and you’ll quickly discover that her passion for her alma mater is fueled by her interaction with students and families.
“I love that I get to play a role in shaping the future of Reinhardt by recruiting the students who make this place what it is. Reinhardt has meant a lot to me, so I feel a sense of protection about this place and want to make sure that we’re recruiting students who will love it, too.”
But it’s her team in the Office of Admission that keeps her motivated.
“I am continually impressed by their passion, creative ideas and willingness to work hard—and keep me laughing.” One of my team members says that she leaves home and arrives home every morning.” We’re all at home here.”
