Dr. Tom Yannuzzi entered his college experience as a first-generation student. He now uses his career to give back to the higher education community.
Yannuzzi recently joined Reinhardt University in the Fall 2020 semester as Interim Vice President of Advancement to provide leadership and strategy, furthering the alumni relation, constituent engagement and development initiatives at the University.
As a first-generation student, Yannuzzi personally knows the transformational impact of higher education and hopes to enable all students to have the opportunity to earn their degree.
“My career as a faculty member and administrator has been focused on giving back to the higher education community,” said Yannuzzi.
Yannuzzi’s role involves working alongside the president in several capacities, including managing advancement and funding activity, developing and overseeing planned giving, as well as constituent engagement programs. He also serves to identify and implement strategies to increase funding for strategic priorities and capital needs, and to identify, cultivate and steward constituent relationships.
“My passion is to create space for and access to higher learning for all students, no matter where they’ve been or where they are in their life journey.”
Yannuzzi’s favorite part of his job is the “students, colleagues and community partners,” and “working together with them to make things happen.”
When not at work, Yannuzzi enjoys watching golf, hiking and theater – especially musicals. He enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter the most.
