Reinhardt University sends out a huge thank you to Georgia Power! Georgia Power recently invested $10,000 into Reinhardt’s Cybersecurity program. This Bachelor of Science program through the School of Mathematics and Science provides students with the skills and knowledge to protect computerized information systems from a wide variety of threats and to manage the risks associated with information technology usage.
“At Georgia Power, we understand that workforce development across many critical fields is one of the biggest challenges we are facing in our local communities, state, and nation,” said Jeff Butterworth, Georgia Power area manager for Cherokee and Forsyth Counties. “We also understand the direct connection this challenge has to our economic success and the role colleges and universities play in filling the pipeline with qualified workers. As such, we are pleased to support Reinhardt University’s cybersecurity program because cybersecurity is critical to our nation’s electric grid and our modern economy and there is a significant need for qualified workers in this space.”
