Homecoming week 2023 kicked off Monday with a pep rally. Students made s’mores, the royal court was announced, and the Soar mascot revealed his new look. The king and queen will be crowned at Saturday’s football game.
On Tuesday, the campus was filled with blue and gold, as students and staff were clad in their favorite Reinhardt attire. The women’s volleyball team shut out Brenau, winning 3-0, followed by Midnight Madness where the men’s and women’s basketball players showed off their dunking skills.
Wednesday the campus turned pink, with Barbie fans dressing up and competing in a photo contest. That evening, the community turned out for Trunk or Treat at the Waleska United Methodist Church. Students and faculty were among those to decorate their vehicles, wear costumes, and hand out treats. The men’s and women’s soccer teams came up short in competitive matches that evening.
Flashing back to the 90s on Thursday sparked another photo contest. Friday night is another women’s volleyball match at 6:30 p.m. followed by the Reinhardt Raven Masquerade.
It’s been an exciting week, leading up to Saturday’s big game and a day packed with events!
