Reinhardt University believes in the power of community. Finding ways to support the community that so generously gives to the success of our students is how Reinhardt brings this belief to life. On July 16, The Leadership Cherokee Class of 2021, coordinated by the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce, visited Reinhardt University as a part of their ‘Experience Waleska’ Day.
Leadership Cherokee is the Cherokee Chamber’s program to educate existing and emerging leaders. In the nine-month program, Leadership Cherokee participants attend a variety of programs leading to a graduation ceremony.
The 2021 Class visit included a campus tour with a stop to enjoy lunch in the Fincher Visual Arts Center with remarks by President Dr. Mark Roberts, Ph.D. The program also included speakers Jessica Akers, director of the Falany Performing Arts Center; Jennifer Prine, director of admissions; Coach Bill Popp, vice president of athletics; Linda Morgan, Cauble School of Nursing and Health Sciences BSN Coordinator and Dale Morrissey, senior director of community engagement.
“The Leadership Cherokee annual visit to Reinhardt is a reminder to many and an education for others regarding the vital role the university plays in Cherokee County’s economic success. The Chamber appreciates the longstanding partnership with Reinhardt and looks forward to continuing to promote their academic opportunities,” shared Chamber President & CEO, Pam Carnes.
