As office manager for Advancement and Community Engagement, Lori Jones supports the preparation of grants and institutional events, as well as golf tournaments, 5k’s, the Shamrock Stroll, “and everything in between.”
Jones began working at Reinhardt three years ago. “I first learned about Reinhardt when I brought my sons here for a basketball camp after moving to the area.” At the time, she thought she may like to work here. Little did Jones know that working at Reinhardt was in her future.
“I enjoy the people I work with and engaging with our students — it’s just a lot of fun.” She admits that the job, particularly event management, has moved her out of her comfort zone. “I taught preschool for 15 years. Prior to coming to Reinhardt, I had never worked with events. I’ve had so much fun and have appreciated learning how to coordinate the details of events and being creatively involved with different venues.
Outside of work, Jones has her hands full. “Between my husband and I, we have four boys, ages 21, 18, 17, and almost 16, with two graduating high school in May. Among her favorite activities is baking. “My boys love chocolate chip cookies, and I always make them a chocolate chip cookie cake for their birthday!”
