Molly Lathem joined Reinhardt University staff as the director of marketing and communications in October. Though new to the Burgess Administration building, Lathem is no stranger to Reinhardt University. Lathem, who comes to us from the eLearning professional development field, was also an adjunct professor of English at Reinhardt for the last four years.
“She brings a deep knowledge and understanding of how Reinhardt’s mission – to educate the whole person with challenge and care – plays out daily within our classrooms and our support services,” says Mark A. Roberts, Ph.D., president of Reinhardt University.
“I enjoyed introducing students to the vehicle that they all had to make their mark on the world-their writing and their voice,” says Lathem of teaching in the classroom as well as the Academic Services Office (ASO).
At the same time she was teaching Lathem worked as the Manager of Content and Instruction for an eLearning company that provides professional education and certification. “I was responsible for leading large teams of designers, developers, writers, and editors in the delivery of online courses and publications.” Lathem says leading creatives allowed her to combine the two things she loves to do the most – “deliver important messaging and coach teams into increasing their perceivable limits.”
Lathem is excited to be back at Reinhardt. “Working at such a beautiful campus with incredible people that truly care about the students is something that rejuvenates me. When I worked here as an adjunct, it was an amazing experience, but coming back was extra special and something that I will never take for granted.”
Lathem is a Bachelor of Fine Arts graduate of writing from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and holds her Master of Arts in Professional Writing from Kennesaw State University (KSU). She is the proud mom of a 25-year-old son who is a drummer in the National Guard Army Band in Nashville, Tennessee.
Welcome back to Reinhardt, Molly! We’re excited to have you here.
