Reinhardt continuously considers the needs of its students. Now female students now have a new sorority to consider joining. This week, national representatives of Delta Phi Epsilon (DPhiE) excitedly informed some of Reinhardt’s students about the organization. DPhiE focuses on the values of justice, sisterhood, and love.
“We are expanding opportunities for students to engage in different ways on campus,” explained the Dean of Students, Dr. Walter May. “Adding a new sorority adds more elements students can be a part of and some might find it to be their niche.”
Throughout the fall semester, the new pledges will be guided by a DPhiE alumna of the University of North Georgia, Ashleigh Dooley. She looks forward to seeing the sorority running strong and making a difference.
DPhiE supports three philanthropies – the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders (ANAD), the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and the Delta Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation which provides scholarship funds to student members.
Dooley explained that since its founding in 1917, the sisterhood also provides personal growth and meaning, “You make bonds you wouldn’t have imagined, and it is an incredible opportunity for so many reasons.”
