A Reinhardt nursing student didn’t hesitate when she saw a need to help disadvantaged mothers, and she hopes to inspire others to help too.
Giovana Saintvil has placed a collection basket for donations in the Bannister Glasshouse. She is exemplifying Reinhardt’s values of learning, serving, and leading, by encouraging everyone in the Reinhardt community to donate new or gently used baby and toddler essentials, such as clothing, diapers, or supplies.
Saintvil explained, “What inspired me was my personal experiences during my mother-baby clinicals at Northside Hospital and learning about new moms who needed assistance. The donations would mean a lot to the community in Pickens County. Unfortunately, there is a significant population of families that are low-income and need help.”
The donations will go to Angel Babies Boutique at The Pregnancy Center in Jasper, GA. The center offers help and hope to women, men, and families by providing free and confidential services in a compassionate environment, and the shop provides baby essentials at no cost.
Saintvil’s collection is taking place through November 16th.
