Reinhardt students in Pickens and Cherokee Counties will benefit from the money donated by Pilgrim’s Pride. The company recently donated $5,000 to the Cherokee and Pickens Scholars program at Reinhardt University as part of their Hometown Initiative in order to help build the surrounding communities.
“We are happy to support the scholarship programs that Reinhardt University offers to local students and look forward to seeing the impacts our contribution will have.” said Brian Wright, complex manager of Pilgrim’s Pride.
Reinhardt and Pilgrim’s Pride share a mission of building and growing the local community. Dale Morrisey, senior director of community engagement, is grateful for the company’s longstanding support of Reinhardt students.
“Reinhardt is proud to have support from businesses like Pilgrim’s Pride. They are a huge part of the Cherokee and Pickens communities. Partnerships with them allow students from both Cherokee and Pickens to further their education and hopefully return to their own community to live, work and play. Reinhardt values their relationship,” said Morrisey.
President Mark A. Roberts, Ph.D. thanked Pilgrim’s Pride for their contribution towards local students pursuing higher education.
