Reinhardt University proudly congratulates the graduates of its Public Safety Institute. Shamari K. Davis and Amanda A. Long received Basic Law Enforcement Training Certifications in a ceremony on May 20th.

Davis delivered the invocation and earned the Top Academic Award. He serves in the Marines and Long works for the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office.

Captain Chris Findley of the Reinhardt Department of Public Safety delivered the graduation address saying, “Abide by the Golden Rule, to always treat those you are called to assist as you would wish to be treated. Do what is right even when no one  is looking.”

The Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council certifies the program at Reinhardt’s Public Safety Institute. The 20-week course taught by seasoned instructors offers flexible online, evening, and weekend sessions for working adults. The certification includes a credit of 15 semester hours towards a Criminal Justice associate degree.

The next class session begins in July. Email Asst. Professor erin.hager-henthorne@reinhardt.edu for more information.
