Creekview High School students had the opportunity to see what life would be like as a Reinhardt University Price School of Education student at a recent on-campus conference exploring what it looks like to become a teacher.
Together with the Office of Admission, PSOE students deployed what they presented for the School’s Professional Standards Review repurposing it for potential Reinhardt education students.
“The review team was very impressed and provided us with glowing remarks about their presentations,” said Nancy Marsh, dean of the Price School.
Not only did the event inform prospective PSOE students, but it offered a chance for current students to gain valuable skills in preparation and presentation.
“The conference was a wonderful experience for our PSOE students because they had an opportunity to present at a conference and will be able to add this to their resume,” said Marsh.
Marsh hopes to host more schools in upcoming years and plans to invite incoming students with undecided majors to the conference. The Price School of Education offers baccalaureate degree programs in early childhood education, middle grades education, biology education, mathematics education, music education and English language education. Graduate degree programs also are offered. Visit Reinhardt.edu for more information.
