With the uncertainty of the coronavirus pandemic, Reinhardt University leadership announced Friday that Summer Term classes will be 100 percent online.
Summer Term begins Monday, May 4.
“Gov. Brian Kemp recently extended the Shelter in Place order through April 30, and we felt it prudent to keep online learning in effect for Summer Term,” said Dr. Mark Roberts, acting president, provost and executive vice president. “As faculty and students have become accustom to the online learning platform, we are hopeful for a smooth transition into Summer Term.”
Roberts said, if conditions related to the global pandemic get better, opportunities to move the Summer Term classes to a hybrid format later in the summer may be an option.
“Reinhardt leadership meets multiple times a week as the COVID-19 situation changes daily, and make decisions based on the best information available,” Roberts said. “We are grateful for the understanding and patience of our students and faculty as we strive to deliver quality education in these unprecedented times.”
Registration for Summer Term will remain open through the drop/add period, which ends May 11. Additional offerings for Summer Term include English 100 and Math 100.
