Reinhardt University honors its best and brightest alumni doing great things in the short 10 years after graduation.
The Office of Alumni Relations is seeking nominations for the 2017 10 Under 10 class.
“Reinhardt University alumni are making great strides in just a decade or less after graduation. The 10 Under 10 award honors those who have put their hearts and souls into their work, ministry or charitable work, making their communities a better place,” said Tim Norton, vice president for advancement and marketing. “We encourage our faculty, staff, students, alumni and community members to nominate someone who is deserving of this award.”
Last year’s class included Sean Boggess, a two-time Reinhardt graduate who serves as a battalion chief for Cobb Fire and emergency Services. Boggess graduated from Reinhardt with his bachelor’s degree in organizational management and leadership in 2013 and his Master of Business Administration in 2015.
Nominations are being accepted through Aug. 18. The 10 Under 10 Award is given to alumni who graduated in the last 10 years (2007-2017) and who are successful in business, the military, nonprofits, government, ministry and/or the arts.
The nomination committee consists of Reinhardt Administration, Faculty and Staff. Committee members review and select 10 candidates along with a first and second alternate. Candidates are notified by U.S. mail. Candidates are allowed two weeks to accept the award and provide any additional information requested. If a candidate doesn’t respond and/or supply required information within the allotted time specified in the letter, an alternate will be notified.
Award recipients are featured in Reinhardt Magazine, recognized during the Homecoming Awards ceremony on Friday, Oct. 6, and have their pictures and bios displayed in the Student Center as a reminder of how Reinhardt alumni make a difference.
