Reinhardt University kicked off the start to the new academic year in a traditional way, as faculty and staff ready the campus for students to return to class Monday.
The Reinhardt family joined together Monday for the State of the University Monday and for the Welcome Back Breakfast Tuesday.
“The Welcome Back Breakfast is a tradition here at Reinhardt. Faculty return to campus, and they gather with staff and leadership over a meal,” said Kristy Starling, director of human resources. “This is also the time we welcome new members of the Reinhardt family and honor those who have served the University for five or more years.”
President Kina S. Mallard welcomed everyone back officially, and Student Government President Levi Cochran spoke on behalf of the student body.
“The students look up to all of you as mentors. We are excited to start off a new year and thank you for all you do,” Cochran said.
Dr. Mallard and Starling presented Years of Service awards, honoring those who have been at the University for five, 10, 15, 20 and 25 years.
