The Reinhardt University Board of Trustees has welcomed a dedicated community member and Reinhardt University supporter, Tommy Beman, to its membership.
Beman – chair of the University’s Dave Henritze Scholarship Golf Classic – said he holds a deep appreciation for Reinhardt and is humbled and honored to serve on the Board of Trustees.
“I truly align with the University’s mission statement of educating and developing the whole person,” Beman said. “As Chairman of the Dave Henritze Scholarship Golf Classic, I have seen the positive impact Reinhardt has had on our students to prepare them to succeed in their fields and serve their communities. It excites me to be a part of the Board to help expand those opportunities and continue the incredible momentum Dr. Kina Mallard, the current Board and Reinhardt University is achieving.”
Beman, a protégé of former Board member, Dave Henritze, has deep connections in the Atlanta community.
Acting Board of Trustees Chair Ken White said Beman’s strong professional background and institutional knowledge he has gained from years of involvement will be beneficial to the board.
“The Reinhardt Board of Trustees is excited about Tommy Beman joining us,” White said. “Tommy’s leadership on our Henritze Golf Scholarship Committee has been outstanding, and we look forward to his leadership as a member of the Board of Trustees.”
Beman, of Alpharetta, serves as the senior vice president for BB&T Insurance Services. He and his wife, Karen, will celebrate 35 years of marriage this year. They have two children, Rebecca and David.
