After two decades serving Reinhardt, Registrar Janet Rodning retired on May 31st. In her role, she supervised the office responsible for entering and maintaining student records before, during, and after enrollment.
Along with adapting to ever-changing regulations, technology, classes, and majors, Rodning placed a strong emphasis on customer service, providing a personal touch to issue resolution. She expressed, “One of the things I enjoy the most is being a Reinhardt mom. I enjoy the relationships and interaction I’ve had with the students.”
Provost John Miles stated, “Janet has been a vital part of the Academic Affairs unit. She has led the Registrar’s Office through many changes and has always kept students at the center of her work. Her absence will be felt in almost every aspect of the academic unit.”
This fall, Rodning returns as an adjunct instructor for three sections of the First Year Seminar (FYS). The FYS helps new students successfully transition to the college experience. In addition to her passion for working with students, Rodning enjoys camping and collecting books, explaining, “I have more books than I will ever be able to read in my lifetime.” She plans to delve into her collection this summer while enjoying the outdoors.
Ariana Neighbors stepped into the Registrar role on June 1st.
