Dedication to reaching the high ideals of the Zeta Tau Alpha (ZTA)’s National Council earned Reinhardt University’s sorority the Crown Chapter Award. Lanie Roland (RU-2026), president of Reinhardt’s Lambda Pi chapter accepted the honor on July 18th at ZTA’s biennial convention.
The National Council presents the Crown Chapter to collegiate chapters that attained a standard of chapter excellence during the year. Criteria relate directly to nine key values and the categories of membership, operations, programming, and leadership. Recipients must meet at least 25 of the 27 requirements. The Reinhardt chapter worked diligently to do so. This marks the first time to be recognized in the chapter’s six-year history.
General Advisor for Reinhardt’s chapter, Mechel McKinley-Hoffman, exclaimed, “I am beyond proud of Lambda Pi for reaching their goal of receiving Crown Chapter. ZTA provides young women with opportunities for leadership, service, and sisterhood. Winning this award shows that the women of Lambda Pi are fully committed to the ideals that all ZTAs hold in high regard. These women are leaders not only in Zeta Tau Alpha but across the Reinhardt campus. I appreciate all of the support that Reinhardt provides to fraternity and sorority life, and I can’t wait to see what lies ahead for Lambda Pi.”
