Twelve instrumental students from Reinhardt University performed with the North Georgia Chamber Symphony (NGCS) on March 30th, 2025. This collaboration follows a successful inaugural concert in 2024, where Reinhardt’s artist affiliates who serve as the students’ instrumental instructors, nominated their students to participate based on their musical abilities.

This experience provided invaluable exposure and growth for the students, allowing them to perform alongside professional musicians. “I am glad to be a part of this experience because it helps prepare me for my future in music,” said Toni Styles (RU-2026), who plays the flute and piccolo.

In addition to the students, several Reinhardt alumni and faculty also regularly perform with the NGCS. Sunday’s concert at the Falany Performing Arts Center featured Dr. Alex Wasserman, assistant professor of music at Reinhardt, as a soloist. This partnership between Reinhardt and the NGCS emphasizes the University’s commitment to offering students exceptional opportunities to perform while fostering connections with the broader musical community.
