Steps to Apply for Traditional On-Campus Undergraduate Programs

Most traditional undergraduate students apply using the steps below. Please ensure you are selecting the correct student type when completing the online application, such as First Time Freshman, Dual Enrollment, Transfer or Graduate. Students can track when the Office of Admission receives and processes documents in the online application portal (where you complete your application). Completing the admissions file quickly gets you to the all important admission decision. Once the decision is made, you can begin planning your future at Reinhardt University.

First-Time Freshmen

First Time Freshmen Admission Requirements:

  • High School GPA 2.5 or higher in general education subjects (English, Math, Science, Social Studies)
  • Students who have taken Dual Enrollment at any college must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher in collegiate work
  • Applicants must submit all official transcripts to the Office of Admission.

Step 1 – Complete the Online Application: Create a user account in the online application portal and select the correct student type. If you are attending college for the first time, select First Time Freshman. Dual enrollment credit will be evaluated for transfer during the admissions process. Students can follow the receipt of documents through the online application portal by logging in at any time.

Step 2 – Send All Official/Final Transcripts: Use one of the three methods:

  • By Email: Send documents through a professional, approved transcript service such as Parchment or National Clearinghouse to admissions@reinhardt.edu.
  • By Mail: Send a sealed, official document to: Reinhardt University Admissions, 7300 Reinhardt Circle, Waleska, GA 30183
  • In Person: Bring a sealed, official transcript to the Office of Admissions during business hours.

Step 3 -Additional college credit opportunities: If you have dual enrollment credit from any college(s), you are is responsible for sending the college transcripts to the university for credit evaluation. If applicable, send Advanced Placement scores, International Baccalaureate score, CLEP scores and military service transcripts to the admissions office for credit evaluation.

Step 4 – Submit Test Scores: Send official SAT or ACT scores to the admissions office. Test scores are not a requirement for admission.

Step 5 – Submit Tuition Deposit: Once you have been accepted, submit a $150 nonrefundable tuition deposit to guarantee your spot for your first semester. You will then receive information on the next steps including new student orientation and student housing.

Transfer Students

Transfer Admission Requirements:

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher for transfer credit.
  • If applicants have less than 30 semester credit hours of transfer, a high school transcript is required with a GPA of 2.5 or higher in general education subjects (English, Math, Science, Social Studies).
  • Applicants must submit all official transcripts to the Office of Admissions prior to the completion of a transfer evaluation.

Step 1 – Complete the Online Application: Create a user account in the online application portal and select the correct student type. A Transfer student previously attended college and the last enrollment was not as a Dual Enrollment student or the last collegiate attendance was not Reinhardt University. Students can follow the receipt of documents through the online application portal by logging in at any time.

Step 2 – Send All Official/Final College/University Transcripts: Use one of the three methods to send documents:

  • By Email: Send documents through a professional, approved transcript service such as Parchment or National Clearinghouse to admissions@reinhardt.edu.
  • By Mail: Send a sealed, official document to: Reinhardt University Admissions, 7300 Reinhardt Circle, Waleska, GA 30183
  • In Person: Bring a sealed, official transcript to the Office of Admissions during business hours.

Step 3 -Transfer credit: If applicable, send dual enrollment credit from the college/university attended, military service transcript, Advanced Placement scores, International Baccalaureate or CLEP scores to the admissions office for credit evaluation. **If you have earned fewer than 30 total combined transferable semester hours or 45 total combined transferable quarter hours, you are required to submit your final high school transcript.

Step 4 – Submit Test Scores: Send official SAT or ACT scores to the admissions office. Test scores are not a requirement for admission.

Home-Schooled Students

Reinhardt welcomes academically talented home-schooled students. Many students choose Reinhardt because of the small class sizes and supportive atmosphere that is similar to the home-schooling experience. For questions regarding home-school admission, contact your admissions counselor.

  1. Apply Online: Follow the same steps to apply for all students.
  2. Submit Transcripts: High school transcripts should be an official transcript from the home-school program. A student who has not graduated from an accredited high school or a home school program is required to submit an official General Equivalency Diploma (GED) passing score.
  3. Send Official SAT or ACT Scores: Send Reinhardt University Admissions your official SAT or ACT score reports. This is not required for admission.
  4. Submit Tuition Deposit: Once you have been accepted, submit a $150 nonrefundable tuition deposit to guarantee your spot for your first semester. You will then receive information on the next steps including new student orientation, student housing.

Re-Admission to Reinhardt

Readmission to Reinhardt

If you have attended Reinhardt in the past, and have been away from the university for one or more semesters (excluding summer for traditional students), you must apply for readmission. Readmission Requirements:

  • Cumulative Reinhardt University GPA must be a 2.0 or higher.
  • Students must be clear of all holds including academic, financial and judicial.

Step 1 – Complete the Online Application: Create a user account in the online application portal and select the student type of Re-admit. I If you have attended other institutions after leaving Reinhardt, please select “Transfer” as the student type.

Step 2 – Clearance Check: Applicants should contact the admissions counselor for clearance of holds.

Students can follow the receipt of documents through the online application portal by logging in at any time.

Transient Students

If you currently attend another institution, but want to take classes at Reinhardt temporarily, you will need to get approval from your home institution before attending Reinhardt.

  1. Complete Online Application: Select “Transient” as student type.
  2. Submit Documentation from Home Institution: Submit a Letter of Good Standing and course approval from the Registrar’s Office at your home institution.

No Application Deadlines

At Reinhardt University, most applications (with the exception of International Students) are reviewed and accepted all year long through a rolling admissions process. Reinhardt offers multiple start terms each academic year. Talk with your counselor about your next entry opportunity.
