The Master of Arts in Pedagogy – Only is intended for those who have demonstrated content expertise in one of the teaching areas for middle grades (4-8), secondary (6-12), and all P-12 fields (except Elementary Education, Special Education, and Reading).

Graduates of this program will receive a master’s degree level (T5) compensation.

Master of Arts in Pedagogy – Only Program Details

Admissions Requirements

  1. Proof of employment as a teacher or paraprofessional in the state of Georgia
  2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution with an undergraduate cumulative grade point average of at least a 2.75 (on a 4.0 scale)
  3. Documentation of the candidate operating at a level 2 or higher on formative evaluations and the summative assessment on the latest year of prior experience
  4. Recommendation from current principal highlighting strengths, weaknesses, abilities, and educational experiences
  5. Two other letters of recommendation
  6. Documentation of professional strengths, weaknesses, abilities, experiences, and career goals
  7. Proof of certification
  8. Commitment to enter and complete the program within one year
  9. Documentation of completed Georgia Educator Ethics Assessment Completion Certificate
  10. Must be employed as a classroom teacher/paraprofessional for the duration of the program.
  11. Documentation of application of admission for the Price School of Education program of study at Reinhardt University
